Welcome to the Telegraph's Golden Apples Awards, now in its fourth year, their aim is to recognise and celebrate the talent, skills and hard work that goes into teaching and providing education in North & North East Lincolnshire.
They’re not about Ofsted ratings or Key Stages, they are about the people who drive our education forward, who inspire, support, cajole and cultivate the talent that offers so much for the future. They raise the profile of great teaching in our community and reward those who show unstinted devotion to helping build not only the future of North & North East Lincolnshire, but the future prospects of our country.
Launched in January, with nominations closing at the end of February, this high profile campaign will be promoted regularly on Grimsby and Scunthorpe Telegraph in print and online at www.grimsbylive.co.uk for a 9 week period.
Three finalists will be chosen in each category by our independent judging panel, made up of experts in the education field, who will consider every nomination received. We will then recognise and celebrate the achievements of the finalists by revealing the winners at a glittering awards ceremony on Thursday 28th March, 2019.
